Membership and joining
Healthlands keeps one simple rule: no more than 500 members at once. Here is what that means if you want to join.
The 500 cap
Why the number never goes up
A fixed membership is the reason the club feels the way it does. Machines are free when you walk up to them, the studio is never packed shoulder to shoulder and the people working there have time to talk to you.
Bigger gyms grow by signing up as many people as possible. Healthlands chose to stay small instead.

How joining works
From first look round to first session
1. Come in
Visit while the club is open and ask at the desk. You can see the gym floor and the studio before deciding anything.
2. Ask about places
If a place is free, the team will talk you through the current membership options. If not, you can join the list.
3. Get set up
An instructor can show you round the equipment and help you plan where to start, whether that is classes, the gym floor or both.
Questions
About membership
What happens if all 500 places are taken?
You can ask to go on the list. When a member leaves, the place goes to the next person waiting rather than being sold twice.
Who can join?
Healthlands is for women. Beyond that there is no fitness level you need to reach first, and plenty of members joined having never used a gym before.
Can I see the gym before I commit?
Yes. Come in while the club is open and ask at the desk for a look round. Times are on the opening hours page.
See it for yourself
The best way to decide is to walk round the place. Check when we are open and call in.
